Elden Ring Double Slash Location And Weapon Skill Details
Mastering weapon skills in Elden Ring can drastically shift the tide of battle against formidable enemies. Among the various combat techniques available, the Double Slash skill offers fluid, multi-hit sword combos that allow players to build up status effects rapidly. Finding this versatile Ash of War requires navigating a tricky platforming route in Caelid.
Where to Find Ash of War Double Slash
To acquire the Double Slash Ash of War, players must journey to Sellia, Town of Sorcery, located in the Caelid region. Starting from the Chair Crypt of Sellia Site of Grace, head toward the rooftops of the town.
You will need to leap across the rooftops until you locate a massive tree root extending high above the western area. Suspended on this root is a Teardrop Scarab that drops the item upon defeat. Because the scarab is perched in a precarious spot, using a bow or ranged spells is the easiest way to defeat it without falling off.
Understanding the Double Slash Skill Mechanics
Double Slash is an Ash of War that grants the Keen affinity, which naturally boosts Dexterity scaling on compatible weapons. Upon activation, the player drops into a low stance and executes a sweeping cross-slash attack. Additional inputs extend the combination into up to six continuous slashes, delivering impressive damage if fully executed.
This skill can be applied to various slashing weapons, including katanas, straight swords, twinblades, and halberds. However, it cannot be attached to colossal weapons due to their size limitations. The initial activation costs 6 FP, while subsequent follow-up inputs cost 3 FP each.
Combat Strategy and Ideal Weapon Builds
Because Double Slash connects multiple times in rapid succession, it is exceptionally powerful when combined with status buildup effects like Bleed, Frost, or Poison. Applying blood grease or weapon buffs allows each hit of the combo to inflict status buildup.
Many players prefer attaching Double Slash to long-reach katanas such as the Nagakiba. This setup mimics the devastating moveset of special weapons while giving players the freedom to change weapon affinities and spell buffs.
